October 2024 Update

Based on feedback from the local community RES has committed to undertake a baseline dust monitoring assessment along key roads that are proposed to be used for accessing the Project site during construction in areas near the Project. The results will be used as a baseline and point of comparison for future assessments during the construction phase of the Project. This assessment will begin before the end of the year and is expected to continue for a minimum of 6 months.

RES is working to finalise the Public Environment Report for the Project’s EPBC Assessment by the Federal Government. Part of the assessment process will involve a public comment period, currently expected to occur in Quarter 1 2025. We will advise further information on the timing of the public comment period in future newsletters.

November 2023 Update

Following ongoing consultation with the community throughout 2023, RES hosted information sessions in November to provide detailed information about project design and to provide further information regarding potential impacts throughout the construction and operation phases of the Project. By doing this, RES can ensure that feedback from the local community and project neighbours is received and considered in advance of the planned development application submission in November/December 2023.

July 2023 Update

In early July, community drop in sessions were held at Ironpot and Kumbia Halls to showcase the revised design of the Tarong West Wind Farm. The sessions were well attended, with neighbour and broader community feedback helping to identify areas of interest or concern - traffic, accommodation, noise and benefit. As the project submits its Development Application later in 2024, RES will continue to work with community, local council and state government to develop a socially and environmentally responsible renewable energy project.
